Early Learning Collaborative
VEP works with the Ventura Neighborhood for Learning to help young children under age 6 with school readiness. The VNfL partners with the school district and First 5 of Ventura County. The funds raised go to the VNfL Family Centers. These Family Centers connect families to medical, educational and social resources to help them remain safe and healthy and prepare young children for school.
The Young Readers’ StoryFest will be held November 19 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Education Service Center, 255 W. Stanley Ave. and will feature:
- Story tents with community celebrities
- Entertainment by children’s storyteller Antonio Sacre and the VUSD Children’s Choir the Notables
- A free book for every child
- Book Fair
- Food for purchase
